Double your contributions

From now through 1999, Gibson Consulting has pledged to match all individual contributions to the I.U. Field Station Maintenance Fund, up to a maximum of $5,000.00 per year for a total of seven years. Matching grants through this program already total more than $11,500.00. For information on previous matches, see articles in the Gibson Gram Newsletters. Contributions should be sent directly to the Department; Gibson Consulting matches the total given and we don't need to know anything about the contributors or individual amounts. The Field Station Maintenance Fund was established by alumna Marcia Engle of Houston. Visit the IUGFS Endowments Page for more about these accounts.

UPDATE: For the remaining 3 years (1999, 2000, 2001) of the Geological Sciences Department's $5 million endowment campaign, Gibson Consulting has extended this matching program to include all three endowments associated with the Field Station -- The Charles Deiss Memorial Fund, to provide scholarships at the Field Station; the Judson Mead Field Station Fund, which supports students, faculty research, visiting faculty, student travel, and equipment and supplies; and the Geologic Field Station Maintenance Fund, used to provide long-term maintenance support. As stated above, individual gifts will be matched up to an annual grand total of $5,000.
