Dr. Dale Bird, Bird Geophysical, 16903 Clan Macintosh, Houston, TX 77084, (281) 463-3816 or FAX (281) 463-7899 dale@birdgeo.com is a geophysicist with 10+ years of gravity and magnetic experience. He has worked for Marathon Oil, World Geoscience, and Aerodat, and in 1997 started Bird Geophysical. Bird Geophysical and Gibson Consulting are working together on an integrated play-oriented interpretation of parts of Southeast Asia and elsewhere.
Dr. Robert P. Koehler (Ph.D., Rice University, 1982) is a geologist and stratigrapher with 9 years experience at Gulf Oil and Chevron (1979-87), where he analyzed carbonate rocks from around the world for hydrocarbon exploration. As a consultant, he worked with Applied Exploration Technologies on a comprehensive stratigraphic study in the Middle East, and he has assisted Gibson Consulting on most of its former USSR studies. Dr. John A. Andrew (Ph.D., University of Wisconsin, 1973) is a consultant in seismic stratigraphy and in integrated interpretation. His 25+ years of oil-industry experience was primarily with Shell Oil (1968-80) and Marathon (1980-82). He was partner and CEO of StratSeis, Inc., a service company that specialized in the acquisition and processing of high-quality, high-frequency speculative seismic data for the hydrocarbon industry. John’s expertise in both geology and geophysics are brought to bear on the problems our clients bring to us, and have lately branched out into the environmental industries. He serves as a geophysical consultant to Gibson Consulting, as well as marketing manager for former USSR studies.
Gibson Consulting also has working relationships with Nigel Press, Thomasson Partner Associates, Lee J. Suttner, and others. We have an extensive list of consulting scientists that we can bring in to teams to address particular problems, and if we ever have enough work, the number of students and recent graduates that would love to work on your projects is also large.
